As the Chief Information Security Officer, Ben leads Welldoc’s Information Security and Risk Management Program. He has over 15 years of experience in the information technology field, specializing in network and information security. He focuses his talents on hardening secure network infrastructures, conducting internal and external IT security audits, ensuring data privacy and compliance, performing vulnerability assessments, threat analyses, and cybersecurity controls
optimization, and composing detailed IT policies and procedures to fit the needs of the organization.

Ben previously helped lead a Top-40 accounting and cybersecurity consulting firm, gaining invaluable experience in enterprise risk management, information security, IT regulatory compliance, executive leadership, and business development. Prior to that, he has worked and gained expertise in security engineering, risk and threat assessments, data privacy, governance, risk, compliance, business continuity planning, and disaster recovery. Ben’s experience includes developing and executing programs predicated upon ensuring that organizational information security, privacy, risk, and compliance controls are implemented and operating effectively in accordance with all applicable local, state, federal, and international information security and data privacy regulations and requirements. Ben holds a Master of Science degree in Cybersecurity as well as an M.B.A. He has also earned over a dozen industry-leading certifications in information security, risk, privacy, and compliance. He is a current member of several professional cyber and information security organizations, including the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), International Information System Security Certification Consortium (ISC)², and Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP), as well as local and national chapters of InfraGard Members Alliance. He has authored industry content for numerous IT security websites, journals, and whitepapers.
