Hope Warshaw

Hope joined Well­Doc as a con­sul­tant in ear­ly 2017. She has been involved in dia­betes man­age­ment and the dia­betes com­mu­ni­ty for near­ly four decades. Today, she is a well-known and respect­ed spokesper­son who is pas­sion­ate about improv­ing the clin­i­cal and cost effec­tive­ness of dia­betes care and edu­ca­tion with recog­ni­tion of the val­ue that nov­el devices and tech­nolo­gies bring to the evo­lu­tion and cost-con­tain­ment of health­care deliv­ery. Hope’s pri­ma­ry role as a con­sul­tant to Well­Doc is to engage in con­tent devel­op­ment for Insights, our thought lead­er­ship blog, work close­ly with WellDoc’s clin­i­cal team and pro­vide social media con­sul­ta­tion and strat­e­gy uti­liz­ing her long-term adop­tion and engage­ment with this medi­um in par­tic­u­lar with the dia­betes com­mu­ni­ty.

Hope served as pres­i­dent of the Amer­i­can Asso­ci­a­tion of Dia­betes Edu­ca­tors in 2016 and has held lead­er­ship posi­tions in oth­er dia­betes and nutri­tion-relat­ed orga­ni­za­tions nation­al­ly. She con­tin­ues to run her con­sult­ing prac­tice, Hope War­shaw Asso­ciates, LLC, based in Asheville, North Car­oli­na. Her work spans from cor­po­rate con­sult­ing to free­lance writ­ing, and dia­betes edu­ca­tion. She has authored numer­ous con­sumer-focused books pub­lished by the Amer­i­can Dia­betes Asso­ci­a­tion includ­ing, Dia­betes Meal Plan­ning Made Easy, Eat Out Eat Well – The Guide to Eat­ing Healthy in Any Restau­rant and Com­plete Guide to Carb Count­ing. Hope received her Master’s of Med­ical Sci­ence degree in Nutri­tion and Dietet­ics from the Emory Uni­ver­si­ty School of Med­i­cine and has been a Cer­ti­fied Dia­betes Edu­ca­tor since 1986.
