Dr. Pablo Mora was born and raised in Costa Rica. He completed medical school, followed by training in both internal medicine and critical care in San Jose, Costa Rica. He then came to Dallas and completed a fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He is a Certified Diabetes Educator, a fellow of the American College of Endocrinologists, and has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Sciences from the University of Texas.
Dr. Mora’s clinical interests include new pharmacological therapies in diabetes, as well the use of modern technology for monitoring and making therapeutic decisions. He recently implemented a model of effective care for transitional (pediatric to adult) patients with diabetes. His recent work has also included delineating the principles of business models to deliver effective diabetes care in current health care environments.
Dr. Mora was previously an endocrinologist at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Florida as well as a staff endocrinologist for Diabetes America in Plano. In addition, he holds an appointment as Adjunct Professor at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, and an Associate Editor for the Journal Clinical Diabetes from the American Diabetes Association.
In April 2017, joined the Dallas Diabetes and Endocrinology Center and Dallas Diabetes Research Center, both located in Medical City Dallas.
