Scott Cousino has over 30 years of investment banking experience primarily focused on the healthcare sector where he has completed a wide range of M&A, strategic advisory and capital markets transactions. Scott is currently a managing director at England & Company where he originates and executes merger and acquisition, financing and advisory assignments for middle market companies in a range of industries. His primary focus is currently on health care services and health care IT companies, including managed care and disease management and all aspects of post-acute care.
Prior to England & Company, Scott was a managing director at Stifel Nicolaus Weisel, where he served as head of its Healthcare Investment Banking Group. In this role his primary responsibility was establishing and maintaining long-term client relationships across a broad spectrum of healthcare companies over an extended period of time and his calling efforts focused on public and leading private companies in targeted sectors as well as relevant financial sponsors. He also served as a managing director and head of healthcare Investment Banking at Legg Mason prior to its acquisition by Stifel in 2005. In addition, Scott served as chairman of the Fairness Opinion Committee at Stifel and Legg Mason for over ten years.
Scott earned his BBA and MBA in Finance from the College of William and Mary. He has been active on numerous non-profit boards and currently serves on the Finance Committee of the Y of Central Maryland.s
