Deb Bjorsness, MPH, RD, BC-ADM, CDE has been a RD for over 30 years and a Certified Diabetes Educator for 25 years. She became Board Certified in Advanced Diabetes Management 15 years ago and a Certified Health Coach, 3 years ago.
She is the current Diabetes Program Coordinator at Benefis Heath System over seeing diabetes education services and the Diabetes Prevention Program. She also provides direct patient care working with patients on insulin including Type 2 and Type 1 diabetes. She encourages patients to use technology to help support them in their diabetes journey.
She is the current Lead/Chair of the AADE-Montana Coordinating Body. She was awarded the “2016 Montana Diabetes Educator of the Year” by the Montana Diabetes Educators Network and was awarded the “2016 Montana Outstanding Dietitian of the Year” by the Montana Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Deb completed her Bachelor of Science degree at Montana State in Bozeman, dietetic internship at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, and a Masters of Public Health from the University of Minnesota.
