Hope Warshaw

Hope has been involved in diabetes management and the diabetes community for nearly four decades. She has become a well-known and respected spokesperson who is passionate about improving the clinical and cost effectiveness of diabetes care and education with recognition of the value that novel devices and digital health technologies offer to improve the care of people with diabetes and to contain the costs of healthcare delivery. Hope served as a consultant to Welldoc during 2017 and 2018. Her primary role was to ideate and develop content for Insights, Welldoc’s thought leadership blog, work closely with Welldoc’s clinical team and provide social media consultation and strategy and thought leadership. She continues her role with Welldoc as both a Strategic and Science Advisor.

Hope served as president of the American Association of Diabetes Educators in 2016 and has held leadership positions in other diabetes and nutrition-related organizations nationally. She manages a consulting practice focused on diabetes care, Hope Warshaw Associates, LLC, based in Asheville, North Carolina. She has authored numerous consumer-focused books published by the American Diabetes Association including, Diabetes Meal Planning Made Easy, Eat Out Eat Well- The Guide to Eating Healthy in Any Restaurant and published numerous professional articles and resources. Hope received her Masters of Medical Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the Emory University School of Medicine and has been a Certified Diabetes Educator since 1986.
