Anand Iyer

Michael Boezer serves as Welldoc's Chief Financial Officer, bringing more than 25 years of distinguished leadership across healthcare and technology-enabled industries. He has a track record of unlocking step-change growth in enterprise value by driving optimal capital deployment and financial rigor.
Michael’s expertise is instrumental in scaling Welldoc’s pioneering digital health solutions, supporting the company's revolution in cardiometabolic health. Prior to joining Welldoc, he was CFO of Flagship Biosciences. His extensive executive tenure includes successfully leading key financial efforts during the IPO of Inovalon, a successful PE recapitalization at Custom Ink, and a nine-year tenure at Pfizer. His foresight continues to position Welldoc for accelerated growth and sustained enterprise value.
Marina Dorotheo

She has unique expertise in leading health-tech innovation in mental health, spearheading the commercialization of the first FDA-approved digital medicine. Her dedication to mental health continues as a board member of the Schizophrenia and Psychosis Action Alliance.
Mansur E. Shomali
MD, CM
Dr. Mansur Shomali is committed to translating clinical rigor into tech-forward, accessible, real-world solutions that redefine care for individuals and their providers. As Welldoc’s Chief Medical Officer, he guides the clinical strategy for our AI-driven cardiometabolic platform, ensuring all solutions are evidence-based and effective. As a practicing endocrinologist, he maintains a vital connection to his patients, who are navigating diabetes and other cardiometabolic conditions.
A respected clinician and educator, he founded the endocrinology program at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital and is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Specializing in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism, he is a leading voice in technology focused on complex conditions.

Simon Salgado

Dan Medin
Dan Medin understands that market success is dependent on a clear value proposition and flawless execution. As SVP of Client Success and Market Solutions, he integrates the entire go-to-market strategy, from product readiness to account management. His expertise lies in understanding the complex healthcare space and knowing what it takes to truly integrate health tech solutions into transformative care.
Dan brings nearly two decades of experience across health insurance and technology. His strategic leadership was honed as VP of Product and VP of Strategy at HealthSparq, driving innovation via digital transparency solutions, and through seven years at Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield. He is dedicated to forging the connection between Welldoc's innovation and customer value.

Machelle Shields

Machelle Shields is a strategic advisor with 25 years of experience in compliance, ethics, privacy, and reimbursement. She is responsible for ensuring Welldoc’s operations are built on integrity and regulatory rigor, and for right-sizing compliance functions across the company.
Her deep expertise includes serving as Senior Executive Healthcare Policy and Compliance Advisor for an international law firm and as VP and Chief Compliance Officer for a top-ten medical device company. Machelle holds an M.S.J. in Health Law and multiple certifications, bringing essential leadership in navigating complex regulatory landscapes, including HIPAA and deferred prosecution agreements.

Joseph Isenberg

As Chief Information Security Officer, Joseph Isenberg is responsible for the strategic direction and execution of Welldoc’s comprehensive information security program. In this role, he oversees all aspects of data security, risk management, and compliance, ensuring that Welldoc continues to meet and exceed the highest security standards as we innovate and expand our digital health platform.
Throughout his time at Welldoc, Joseph has been instrumental in developing and implementing robust security protocols, navigating the complex landscape of healthcare compliance, and ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our data and our members’ sensitive health information. Joseph holds an M.S. in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University and a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification.
Hari Kesani
Hari Kesani is focused on the future of health through visionary technology and global agility. As SVP of Product Development, he architects Welldoc's entire platform lifecycle, overseeing all product aspects from concept to roadmap to global operations, maintaining a critical lens on the future of tech, and enhancing the platform in close partnership with customers.
Hari's deep expertise ensures success across both the core Welldoc platform and custom white-labeled solutions developed with marquee healthcare brands. Having been with Welldoc since 2008, he brings institutional knowledge and foundational experience that are fundamental to Welldoc's continued evolution.
Catherine Brown

Catherine Brown works at the intersection of clinical rigor, technology, and human behavior to drive meaningful health outcomes. As VP of Clinical Services, she champions the overall clinical strategy across Welldoc's product portfolio and oversees human factors and product research. Her background in nutrition is instrumental in ensuring we build solutions with actionable lifestyle changes at the core of empowering personalized health.
With over 20 years as a Registered Dietitian, her experience includes leading programs at the University of Maryland Medical Center and supporting the National Diabetes Education Program at NIH and CDC. A respected voice, she is published in peer-reviewed journals and featured in educational podcasts included directly within our product.
Robin Schwartz

Robin knows that people are the engine of innovation. As Head of HR, she champions a mission-driven culture, overseeing global human resources to ensure Welldoc's teams in the U.S. and India have the passion and expertise to transform cardiometabolic health through cutting-edge tech. She is responsible for aligning the company's most critical asset—its people—with its mission and vision.

Donald V. Almeida
Donald Almeida previously served as the vice chairman for PwC, where he was responsible for PwC’s global clients, markets, and industries. With 40 years of career experience, principally with large multinational companies and in market-facing leadership roles, Almeida also has extensive experience abroad. He spent time in Brazil, Russia, India, China, Japan, and most of Europe, including a three-year tour in Italy.
Almeida is on the board of APOS Therapy and Welldoc, and formerly on the board of Trxade. He is also on the advisory boards of Talent Box and Namu, and a member of the boards of Trustees of Fordham University, The Marinsky Foundation of America, Cardinal Hayes High School, and the Boy Scouts of America. Additionally, he ison the Fordham Gabelli School of Business Board, the Fordham Presidents Council, and is an adjunct professor and guest lecturer on global business, entrepreneurship and other topics.
A member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Almeida is licensed in New York and Connecticut. He holds a B.S. degree in accounting from the Gabelli School and lives in Armonk, New York, with his wife, Gail, and his two children.

Caleb Winder
MBA
Caleb has nearly 25 years of operating, startup, and financing experience in life science and healthcare companies. He plays an instrumental role in sourcing and structuring deals, and works closely with portfolio companies to form strategic partnerships and to develop commercialization and marketing strategies. He currently (or formerly) represents Excel as a Board Director or Observer at Aileron, Aventura, Ayogo, ClearData, InfoBionic, Molecular Templates, Oculus Health, ShapeUp (sold to Virgin Pulse), Saladax Biomedical, MedVentive (sold to McKesson), Welldoc and Qstream.
Prior to becoming a venture capitalist, Caleb was an award-winning sales and marketing executive at medical equipment and diagnostics companies. He received his M.B.A. from Babson College, magna cum laude, where he was a Babson Fellow in the Center for Technology Enterprise. He received a B.A. in Biology with a minor in Economics from Colby College.

Dan Garrett
Dan Garrett serves on the Board of Directors of the eHealth Initiative. He recently served as PwC’s Technology Consulting practice Leader in the US & Trifecta regions (US, China/HK, and Japan). Dan worked as US leader of the Health Industries IT (HIT) practice, global Health Industries Analytics Lead, with responsibility for coordinating the practice across the PwC network. In addition, Dan led both the US Health Industries HIT and Global Health Industries Digital and Analytics practices. Dan’s responsibilities included coordinating Technology Consulting across the PwC network while driving emerging technologies in the analytics, digital, and the cybersecurity space (including AI, RPA, IoT, and Blockchain).
Dan led PwC’s firm’s key alliance relationships with all the Health Industry Technology and HIT vendors. He was a trusted advisor to the HIT firms that are leading the Health Industry. Dan founded the US Health Industries IT Practice nearly 10 years ago, which is now ranked as one of the top HIT consulting teams in the Population Health/Value Based Care, Digital, and Healthcare Analytics by all of the major industry analysts.
Dan holds a BA from Fox School of Business at Temple University.

Dave Stevenson

Dave Stevenson is Managing Director of Merck Global Health Innovation (GHI) Fund with over 20 years of healthcare strategy and innovation expertise. In addition, Dave brings a strong operational focus to accelerating value realization for portfolio companies. Prior to joining the Global Health Innovation Fund, Dave has been a member of Merck’s Strategy Office focused on corporate strategy development, including whitespace identification, scenario planning, and transformational business model development.
Prior to joining Merck, Dave spent a decade in strategy consulting helping small and large health care companies find new growth drivers while freeing up cash flows from operations to fund higher value added activities. Dave started his career with strong cross-functional operating roles with Novartis, including deep experience in clinical development and commercial operations.
Dave holds a BA from Washington University and a MBA from Vanderbilt University.

David Kim
MD, MBA
David Kim is the CEO of DigiTx Partners, bringing both business and clinical expertise to venture capital with an extensive background practicing medicine and building healthcare software companies. Most recently, Dr. Kim served as the COO of Lumiata, a venture-backed predictive analytics company positioned at the intersection of data science and medical science. Prior to Lumiata, he spent over a decade as an investor evaluating and growing healthcare companies at MPM Capital and Pinnacle Ventures.
David completed his internal medicine residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and is a graduate from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (M.D.), Stanford Graduate School of Business (M.B.A.), and Pomona College (B.A., Biology). In addition to leading the DigiTx fund, David serves as an active advisor to the Catalyst Program within the UCSF Clinical & Translational Science Institute.

Michael Pachos
MBA
Michael is the Head of Samsung Ventures for Eastern North America and a Managing Director. Michael joined Samsung in 2008 as part of the Global Strategy Group in the Chairman’s Office. Michael then joined Samsung Ventures in 2009 transferred from Seoul to Silicon Valley in 2013, and moved to Boston in 2019. Investments include Novaled (Advanced materials company acquired by Samsung for $347M), PowerbyProxi (Wireless charging technology acquired by Apple), andnLight (high-powered lasers, IPO in NASAQ).
Michael has an MBA from Wharton and a BS in Computer Engineering from WashU. Prior to Wharton, Michael co-founded the network security startup Global Velocity and he also was a CPU architect on several DEC Alpha and Intel Itanium processors.
In his spare time Michael enjoys sailing, and visiting his hometown of NYC and adopted hometown of Seoul.

Chihiro Hosoya

Chihiro is Investment Director, Rx+ Business Accelerator, Astellas Venture Management, and is actively seeking attractive opportunities to create new business in non-pharma fields (Rx+). With this role, she has been working closely with DigiTx Partners for more than 2 years and has gained insight in digital health space. She has 15 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry in research, Business Development, and new business creation fields.
She received Master of Science in Waseda University and MBA from Tsukuba University.

Skip Fleshman
MS
Skip Fleshman has been at Asset Management Ventures (“AMV”) since 2002 and is actively investing in companies that focus on digital health, mobile, and data analytics. Skip was an officer in the United States Air Force, where he first served as a fighter pilot flying the F-16. He flew 37 combat missions during Operation Desert Storm and also served as the wing expert in electronic combat systems and programs.
He then founded and served as COO of BGI, which develops software for flight simulators and training solutions for the aviation industry. Skip is an advisor to Stanford’s StartX, Rock Health, Boston Children’s Hospital, and the Hiller Aviation Museum.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at Davis. Skip was a Sloan Fellow and received an M.S. in Management from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

Holly F. Lofton
MD
Dr. Holly F. Lofton is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine and Surgery at NYU Langone Health. She previously served as director of the Medical Weight Management Program, where she designed the popular New You weight loss program to help her patients obtain results while fostering nutrition education and placing emphasis on a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Lofton has served on the board of the Obesity Action Coalition, as well as several weight related advisory boards and committees. She is currently involved in clinical research pertaining to pharmacotherapy to treat obesity and landmark clinical drug trials, SELECT and SURMOUNT-1. In her faculty role, Dr. Lofton continues to educate trainees and other physicians about obesity and weight bias. She also educates the general public about the importance of maintaining a healthy weight through lectures, workshops, and media outlets, such as The Today Show, and CNN.

Priya Jaisinghani
MD
Dr. Priya Jaisinghani is a board-certified endocrinologist and obesity medicine specialist, currently serving as a Clinical Assistant Professor at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Dr. Jaisinghani received a distinction in service to the community through her work at the The Boggs Center at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where she also completed her internal medicine residency and was inducted into the AOA Honor Society. Dr. Jaisinghani went on to complete her endocrinology fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center. Actively engaged in advancing the field, she is involved with the Tristate Obesity Society and the Obesity Action Coalition. Her recent academic contributions include a published book chapter on viral infections and obesity. Dr. Jaisinghani’s work has been widely featured in national and international media, including ABC News, NBC News, the Today Show, New York Times, Times of India, Wall Street Journal, Medscape, and more.

Malinda Peeples
MS, RN, CDCES, FADCES
Malinda serves as Executive Digital Health & Informatics Advisor at Welldoc, where she oversees the clinical outreach program, grant and research activities and professional organization activities. Malinda is a diabetes educator, clinical and informatics nurse specialist who has presented at numerous conferences nationally and internationally and has been published in The Diabetes Educator, Journal of Diabetes Technology and Society, and other peer-reviewed publications. Malinda also serves as Adjunct Assistant Faculty, Division of Healthcare Informatics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Prior to joining Welldoc, Malinda served as the President of the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE), an organization of multi-disciplinary professionals focused on improving diabetes care through education, management and support. Malinda has also provided diabetes education services and program management in private practices, community health organizations and integrated health systems.
Malinda received her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of North Carolina in Charlotte and earned her Master’s degree in nursing informatics from the University of Maryland in Baltimore. She also earned a Master’s degree and completed a postgraduate research fellowship in health sciences informatics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2007.

Aneesh Chopra
Aneesh Chopra is a recognized leader in U.S. technology and health data policy. He is the Chief Strategy Officer of Arcadia, a leading health data platform that acquired CareJourney, which he co-founded in 2014 to help healthcare organizations manage patient populations. Chopra is best known for his service as the first U.S. Chief Technology Officer (2009–2012), appointed by President Barack Obama, where he spearheaded initiatives to promote health information technology adoption and data sharing. He is the author of the best-selling book, “Innovative State: How New Technologies Can Transform Government”. Chopra holds a master’s degree in public policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and a bachelor’s degree from Johns Hopkins University. Prior to his government roles, Chopra was a Managing Director at The Advisory Board Company.

Rajendra Pratap Gupta

Dr. Rajendra Pratap Gupta is a leading public policy expert and global authority on digital health strategy. He has contributed to policymaking for over two decades and was nominated to the Global Agenda Council of the World Economic Forum in recognition of his work. He served as the former Advisor to the Health Minister of India and played a pivotal role in drafting major national policies, including the National Health Policy 2017 and the National Education Policy. Dr. Gupta is on the Global Roster of Experts for Digital Health and a Member of the Guidelines Development Group at the World Health Organization (WHO). He is also the founder of HIMSS India, the Disease Management Association of India, and the Health Parliament. Additionally, Dr. Gupta authored five best-selling books, including “Healthcare Reforms in India – Making up for the Lost Decades” and “Digital Health – Truly Transformational”. He has been invited by all global organizations including the United Nations, UNESCO, World Bank, and the Governments of Japan and India, for insights on digital health.

Sean Murphy
Sean Murphy is an accomplished corporate executive with extensive experience in life sciences, corporate finance, business development, and strategic leadership. He spent over 30 years at Abbott Laboratories, where he held various leadership positions, including Head of Corporate M&A and Business Development. He also served as an Executive Vice President at Malin PLC and was a co-founder of the life sciences investment firm Malin. Mr. Murphy is an active Board Member for numerous high-growth and established health technology, biotech, and life science companies, including his current roles at Prenosis and Xenex Disinfection Services. His expertise in mergers and acquisitions, manufacturing, global corporate strategy, and private equity provides Welldoc with crucial insights for commercial scaling and financial rigor as the company enters new market phases.
